A Message From the Wind's Lodge Prefect

Hello my fellow winds! I have some exciting opportunities to share with you! Professor Kingsley has offered not one, but TWO, exciting mega-merit challenges that could prove to be game-changers in the school’s Lodge Cup competition!!The first opportunity requires you to draw a map of the Second Life Campus. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with the campus. All entrants receive a merit for participation and if you win you will earn 10 merits! The second contest challenges you to write an essay or story of a minimum of 2000 words telling why wizardry is important in today’s world. Again, all participants receive a merit. There will be two runners-up who receive 5 merits each. The winner will receive 5 merits PLUS a hazel wand made by Prof. Kinsgley himself! Just imagine it… if we represent well, all three top prizes could potentially go to one Lodge, *OURS*… combined with the map challenge, that could be 25 merits! That could greatly increase our standing in the Lodge Cup competition. And if that isn’t enough….The members of the Lodge that wins the Cup this term will receive a one month 15% discount at Magick Alley! But wait! There’s more!

We have two lodge specific awards, the Golden Wand award for earning the most academic credits in the term, and the Griffin award for earning the most merits. A stellar showing in these mega-merit challenges could earn you having your name permanently etched on our Lodge Page as a winner of the Griffin award….plus you will receive a certificate declaring that you have earned this designation from me. Don’t forget about our monthly lodge merit challenges and departmental challenges. There is no shortage of opportunities to show the other lodges that the element of air is not to be underestimated. Together we make a hurricane. ~Prefect Ombra
